Horrible Experience With Loan Officer

Supreme Lending - Horrible Experience With Loan Officer

I had the worse experience with this company, and loan officer Laura Ortiz is very unprofessional, a liar, a manipulator, and DOES NOT LIVE UP TO WHAT SHE TELL YOU. I was referred to this company by a real estate agent that said she could get my mortgage loan closed fast if, I bought a home right now.

When I contacted her she told me that they can close a loan in 30 days or less, and told me how their process work. She convinced me that she would work her hardest with assisting me on closing my home in a timely manner after, I found exactly what I wanted to buy. So I filled out a application, send over all of the documents requested, and called her back to ask more questions. I noticed on the same day, I contacted her back she wasnt answering my calls.

Then when I sent a message about the reviews I had just seen online and how it might not be a good idea that I move forward with them. That is when she texted (she was on a phone call and would call me back). Everything was going to fast, and after reading the reviews I felt uneasy about supreme lending assisting me. Laura Ortiz told me to think about it for a few days and get back with her.

So I thought about it and contacted her on 10-12-2021 to let her know, I wanted to move forward. She told me that she would be contacting me the next day on 10-13-2021 to discuss things further and would proceed with my application. She never called me so, I texted her, but she never replied. I waited until Friday on 10-15-2021 and called her that morning (she still did not answer).

Then I texted her and she finally CALLED ME BACK THEN LEFT A VOICEMAIL MESSAGE. This company have all of my personal information, and I DO NOT TRUST THEM AT ALL. I texted her and told her to CANCEL MY APPLICATION ASAP! Then I received a notification from the credit bureaus that a soft pull was pulled on my credit report from a : ESSENT GUARANTY INC WHICH IS ANOTHER MORTGAGE COMPANY!

When I googled the company it was another mortgage lending company and I got extremely upset! First off, Laura told me they only deal with SUPREME LENDING/EVERETT FINANCING, then SHE NEVER FOLLOWED UP WITH ME WITH MOVING FORWARD WITH THE APPLICATION, then after I CANCEL MY APPLICATION all of a sudden another mortgage lending company is pulling my credit? I told her that I would be putting bad reviews online regarding my experience with her, and will be letting everyone know how this company do horrible business with people. I then started to receive harassing phone calls from a man leaving voicemails, and text messages threatening me, and talking about what he is going to do to me on Laura Ortiz behalf from phone numbers: 678-723-**** 678-792-**** from (10-16-2021 up until 10-18-2021).

Im being harassed, and threatened by someone who Laura Ortiz gave my personal information to, and I have taken precaution to contact authorities behind all of this drama. I wouldnt refer anyone to this company and have taken extra precaution to protect my credit files as well. This company and LAURA ORTIZ IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED! She literally gave out my personal information, and phone number for someone to HARRASS ME.

This is not only a breach of privacy with my personal information with this company, but this also against THE LAW!

Laura Ortiz is a bad representation of this company, and is going to have this company in serious litigation with what is transpiring right now on my behalf. EVERYONE PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND THE ILLEGAL PRACTICES THEY ARE USING!

They kept asking for one more thing over and over again for more than a dozen times. Then I was given a closing date which came and went. After that they sent someone to my home with another bunch of papers to sign despite telling me that I didn't have to do any more. She kept shoving papers in front of me to sign, initial, and date. I wasn't given an opportunity to read anything and was not given a copy for reference Then most recently I was asked to wire $1438 to close the deal. I couldn't believe they thought I was that stupid.

I am in the 11th week of my loan process for a $90,000 refinance on a $450,000 property. These people cannot get anything right, forget they already have documents they we provided, take weeks of doing nothing, were provided with a 100% waiver of property tax but spent 2 weeks to convince the title company to waive my escrow. These people are simply are not in the game. Stay away !!

Perhaps a name change is in order?

I have never dealt with Supreme Lending; I am only checking them out for my mother. Most of the negative reviews are for a company named Supreme Loan--which is a scam operation. Perhaps you need to change your name because these bad reviews really look bad for you even though they aren't yours..Just sayin'..

Lender

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This is worst company, run and make sure you run quick. I purchased a home in 2018, my builder recommended supreme as a preferred lender, by far the biggest mistake I ever made using them. First off, I could go on and on for days, but I don't have enough space in this little section. I was pre-approved in September for a November close date. I never, I mean never spoke with the loan officer directly (Jason Hardy). I was always promised and reassured that Jason would eventually call me and go over everything but he never once did, instead he had me dealing with some "sounded like" intern. Let's moved forward to the week before my closing, received a phone call that everything was all set. The DAY before my closing received a phone call from underwriting that I was good to go but that I needed to pay off 2 of my student loans or my sons vehicle (about $13k) before I could not get approved. I mean I was literally appalled. Lets just say after going back and forth all day and being one pissed customer I had to pay an extra ($15k) to get this house. Kept getting promises that the loan officer would go over all of the number with me the day before or day of, NEVER happened. Good thing this was not my first home purchase and I was familiar with the process. If I could go back in time, and think about it now, I would have gave up my dream home at the cost of not doing business with these scammers. I don't see how anyone could have anything good to say about them. The only thing that made me feel better is writing this post and letting a few co-workers buying homes to know to stay clear of these folks.

Loan Sold-Agreement Change

I am a second time customer to Supreme Lending. We purchased a new home, prior to selling the current home we were in.

Our goal was to purchase the new home, make an additional principal payment to the new loan once our current home sold and to not carry an escrow account with the new mortgage. We were told that we could do all of this and there was no need to 20% down at loan origination, if we did not want to. We would just carry the payment and escrow, until we made the additional principal payment at the time our current home sold. New loan closed, previous home sold quickly and I thought all was good.

From the time the loan closed on 8/31 to the middle of November, Supreme Lending sold our loan to Penny Mac. I did not think a thing about the new lender servicing our loan. Contact Supreme when we had an offer and close date to let them know we would be ready to make our additional principal payment, remove the PMI and Escrow account. My mortgage contact said great and put me in contact with the person who could assist.

They informed that I would need to handle all my requests to PennyMac the new mortgage servicing company. They informed me that I would need to process a principal recasting request, pay a 250 fee and that would take care of the additional principal payment. Next step would be to request a review for removing the PMI. Another process, they would require that I pay for a new appraisal.

As for the escrow, that can not be removed for 5 years.

If at anytime during the decisions around how much we should put down, we had been told that our loan could be sold to a company that could not complete all the items that Supreme Lending could. We would have put the 20% down, gone without an escrow account and had no PMI insurance. But we were not advised of this. When I went back to Supreme with all this information I was told that they thought they had sold my loan to company that had similar polices.

They reached out to PennyMac to try and resolve the issue and they would not budge on their polices. Supreme Lending has agreed to refinance our loan at their expense but can not do it right away because interest rates have gone up.

In the meantime, I am having to jump through hoops, spend additional money and find a way to make a loan payment that is 800 more a month than we had planned on.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a company. It is has created a huge amount of stress and anxiety during a time when we should be able to just enjoy our new home and has put us in a financial position that is putting us into debt.

Worst financial institution!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
The most inept & unprofessionally institution I’ve ever dealt with. They handle my scrow account, therefore they make payment directly to the insurance company for the homeowners insurance policy. I receive a letter stating they took an insurance policy on my property because I failed to provide proof of insurance. This policy is at a higher rate & I will be charged for it... Are they stupid or what? If they handle my escrow account, where is my money going then? What have they done with the funds? Should they be audited? I provided a copy of the policy and they replied stating they do have a copy of it. So why did they take out another policy & claimed I didn’t have coverage? It doesn’t end there. I received yet another communication in the mail stating that they have cancelled the insurance policy they had taken out but I’ll be charged an additional premium! Why would I have to pay for their mistakes & negligence to conduct business in an appropriate manner? I cannot trust institutions whose business practices are suspicious/questionable. If they in fact charge me the additional premium for the policy they took out which I didn’t need, I will file a complaint with the B.B.B with all the proof I hold in my hands.

Horrible customer service

We were pre-approved for a loan and signed a purchase agreement. All paperwork was sent in as requested, yet we would have to reach out daily for a status. Underwriter/loan office kept misplacing documents so we had to resend several documents multiple times. The loan officer did not communicate with the underwriter so there was a lot of miscommunication and back and forth. One week before closing, we still did not have a final approval due to their dragging of feet and they had to push out closing date a week. Then two days later they declined us. Fortunately there are lots of other vendors who want my business.

This is just a general comment related to business law. The original loan contract seems to have included two people as borrowers.

The lender can ask for payment from one, the other, or BOTH...even if there is a civil action giving property to one person vs the other (divorce). Your job is TO REFINANCE that loan into your own name only, ASSUMING you can qualify on just your own income. Your ex is still on the hook for the loan...and as such, still has their name on the deed. If there is a default on the loan, the ex can either cure your default or let it go.

If the ex does cure the default to stop foreclosure, their recourse is to sue you for their costs...back in the original court of the divorce proceedings, and maybe force the sale of the home to receive restitution. The ex becomes a lienholder, in effect, not actually taking possession or controlling the property. Your contract with the original lender doesnt just go away because you divorced...regardless of the divorce decree.

The lender deserves every dime that contract would require to be be repaid. So, NO, NO LENDER is going to EVER give up their right to recover from the other borrower!

A Supreme lender did not to give the client a loan or pre approval for the area of his choice. He was negative from the start then he just to the flat roof and carried on terrible. The client called to say this lender was being difficult and all he want to do is buy a house. Good credit a vet trying to purchase VA 100 % financing plus he has this slogan military boot camp 2,000 credit towards closing all lies. He cut me off while taking said he had a more important call really. When I told him the amount offer for the property he went off stating if the insurance on the flat roof is high it might not work. He was looking for him to put out all this money when it’s no money down stating oh you have no money. This is the 3rd experience this same loan officer had a buyer to put out 14,000 on a 93,000 condo. Also a realtor purchased with 8,000 down her commission of 7,000 plus to close on a 200,000 said the closing cost was1100 the exact amount she had in her checking account . This company a MLO and processors need to be investigated. They are working with insurance companies to quote the higher price to get more money from you. Karma that’s all I can say!

You can't be serious. I'm sorry but if you cannot even get the Subject of your complaint spelled correctly then please leave it to yourself because you obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

It's difficult to understand what your complaint is with the horrible grammar especially since this auto corrects the spelling but, that's besides the point. I think you are suggesting that a loan officer is increasing the closing costs because he/she has a benefit in doing so. If you're realtor and passed the NMLS which is required you would know that loan officers do not receive a penny of compensation that isn't disclosed upfront and definitely have zero incentive to increasing the closing costs. The last and most important thing is if the insurance was too high then the borrower has every opportunity to work with his own insurance company.

For instance, as a veteran USAA is available and very reputable and competitive. The loan officer can refer an insurance agent but, you should know as a realtor that the final decision on who to use for insurance is solely in the hands of the borrower.

Seleena Kxb

This sounds frustrating and not what Supreme Lending stands for as a company. If you will send an email to Social@SupremeLending.com with the name of the Loan Officer you are referring to, we will look into this matter further.

It is spelled "usury" and you can't fall victim to it if you didn't sign up for it.

You are JUST AS BAD! You have LIED to my son and his wife about being approved for a mortgage at your Dallas, TX office!

Then you tell them 3 days before the closing they needed to come up with an additional 5,000.00, on TOP of the 5,000 you requested..upon looking into your company they are many complaints with the BBB about you pulling this on many people. People have lost their Earnest Money and their dream homes. You should be ASHAMED of yourselves to do this to people, but especially to 2 US MARINE VETERANS! How DISGUSTING on your part!

I do NOT know how you all sleep at night with a clear conscious ..SHAME on you Mr. Scott Everett for the low life scams your staff plays on unsuspecting innocent people! If you have any dignity, you would look into this ASAP and have the decency to inquire about this situation.

Fraudulent operation/nothing but a scam

On Feb 23 I applied for a small 800 loan. THE Loan was "Approved" immediately. A "Loan Officer" called increased the loan' first to 1000, then to 4000. They sent me by e-mail a contract, which I signed and returned. They deposited a bogus Treasury Check for 892.

Being suspicious I told them that I received there check and why it came through my online banking app rather than the ACH credit.

That evening the Loan officer called me about withdrawing funds in the morning and sending some amount through WALMART,

ALARMS WENT OFF!!.

I changed all my app usernames and passwords.

They called me at least 20 times that evening and next morning, also sending me a threatening text message regarding criminal charges. I ignored their {{Redacted}}.

The following tuesday I received a notice from my bank alerting me that the BOGUS CHECK was being returned unpaid!!!.As soon as I receive the particulars on the unpaid check, This matter will be turned over to the US DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, THE F.D.I.C. AND THE IRS.

Stay away from these ***
